A new scoring system

without bonuses or handicaps

Like FAI triangles, GlideScore encourages area flying.

Unlike other scoring systems, it is not artificially limited to a handful of waypoints.

To arrive at a score, we use extreme waypoints along the outside edge of the flight path, and calculate the distance between them in the order flown along these.

It awards no bonusses, and acknowledges no handicaps.

This simplicity allows for direct comparisons between different disciplines, glider types and classes while still being able to filter and sort on any criteria to define leaderboards within a category if needed.

Along with GlideScore, we also calculate OLC, XContest, FAI and other score equivalents to help with analysis and comparisons.

Analysis of flight phases

Each flight is analyzed into flight phases, and stats are calculated for each phase.

This allows for better learning from each thermal or glide, and measuring performance improvements across flights.

Plot your polar

Glide phases are plotted on a polar diagram, showing the measured sink at different speeds.

This can be used to get a better understanding of your wing's actual glide performance.

Compare varios

Variometers vary in their functionality and sensor calibration, and can be tuned with different settings.

By uploading IGC files from different trackers, you can directly compare their performance for a flight.

This is useful to help tune your settings for new devices.
